I am mostly a SEO person, but looks like my latest posts are all about Facebook. This one should interest you if you have seen the new Facebook Search Graph on your friend’s FB, but you still have the old Facebook format. Can be a little annoying to see that you’re the only one with the old Facebook Layout.
So, you remember that a few months ago, Facebook announced that they will launch a new Search feature. And you registered for the waiting list here https://www.facebook.com/about/graphsearch, but nothing happened.
If you are looking for help on Facebook, you will get to this question & answer:
I don’t have Graph Search. How can I get it?
If you’re interested in getting Graph Search, you can let us know at facebook.com/graphsearch.
Right now Graph Search is available to people using Facebook in English on desktop. If you’re using Facebook outside of English, Graph Search isn’t available yet.
Well, my Facebook was already in English, but still, without GraphSearch.
It was just a small detail that made this not work: My language was English – UK.
Once I’ve changed it to English – US I’ve got the new Facebook Layout.
How to change the language in your settings? The answer is here: https://www.facebook.com/help/327850733950290
How do I change my language settings?
To set your language, scroll to the bottom of a Facebook page and click on the current language. Choose a new language from the menu.
You can also update your language from your General Account Settings page:
- Click at the top right corner of a Facebook page and select Settings
- Click Edit to the right of the Language section
- Select your primary language from the dropdown menu
Just choose English US and it should work.
Hope this helps.
